Stuck/Unstuck

My six year old daughter has ADHD (along with anxiety) and we spend alot of time helping her get past the things she gets stuck on. Transitions are hard for her and schedules are super important. Structure is key to her day...even when she's having a hard time following. Today was a tough day at school, but in calming down at home and progressing through our day I'm noticing how she's growing and learning to cope. Together we keep on searching for the ideas and plans to put in place that will work for her, this is a slow steady process, but I am proud of how hard she is pushing herself to find the answers.

Spark the creativity, bring on the sun!

Okay, I realize it's still sort of winter and all but I have lists of projects and ideas to breathe some life into and this dreary miserable weather is seriously hampering progress.  That one nice day when I cracked the windows and let in the fresh air was a huge tease! My girls need to get outside, fresh air needs to invade our house and to be completely honest I am ready to ditch the jackets, paint our toes and live in sandals.  So, in hopes of bringing on the beautiful weather I'm posting some pictures of a fantastic day last summer...the girls having fun at the beach with Uncle Michael.
